I have this friend who is struggling with the fear of climbing above protection on routes and is being attacked by the fear of the fall. Not un common for those who have not climbed allot of routes as it takes time to understand how to fall, how not to fall, when you can fall and when you should never fall...
My advice mi feliz amiga is to value the route you are trying and do all your thinking on the ground then just climb la roca with thoughts of only up and trust your brilliant self... and just breathe... and of course ' try REALLY hard!'
